Senior Mobile App Developer

About the Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Mobile App Developer to develop, enhance, integrate, and support our internal mobile applications. You will take ownership throughout the full application lifecycle—from technical design and development through testing, release, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will work in an AI-assisted engineering environment, using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to accelerate development, improve code quality, and support documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance cross-platform mobile applications for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS.Take ownership of features and projects from requirements gathering and technical design to deployment and ongoing support.Build responsive, reliable, scalable, and user-friendly mobile application functions.Design and implement application architecture, mobile user interfaces, API integrations, local storage, data models, and synchronisation processes.Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend systems, databases, authentication services, push notifications, and third-party platforms.Optimise application performance, stability, speed, responsiveness, and user experience.Perform testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution to ensure high-quality releases.Manage application versioning, code signing, store submissions, releases, and updates for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS.Monitor production applications, investigate crashes or performance issues, and implement preventative improvements.Use AI development tools—including Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor—to support coding, refactoring, documentation, testing, code review, and technical problem-solving.Review, test, and validate AI-assisted code to ensure it is secure, maintainable, performant, and suitable for production use.Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices for architecture, security, documentation, and quality assurance.Work closely with product, operations, business stakeholders, designers, backend developers, and external vendors.Keep up to date with mobile platform changes, relevant technologies, and effective AI-assisted development practices. Requirements Experience and Education At least 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development.Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Demonstrable experience delivering and supporting production mobile applications.Experience working independently on technical problem-solving while collaborating effectively with a wider team. Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.Solid understanding of cross-platform mobile development principles, mobile application architecture, and best practices.Experience building and releasing applications for iOS and Android; experience with HarmonyOS development or publishing is highly preferred.Experience integrating RESTful APIs, web services, JSON payloads, authentication flows, push notifications, and data synchronisation.Working knowledge of backend integration and development using Spring Boot, Java, MyBatis, and relational databases.Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and hybrid mobile application development.Proficiency with Git and collaborative source-control workflows.Familiarity with frontend build and package tools such as npm, Webpack, Gulp, or equivalent.Understanding of mobile app deployment processes, including code signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, versioning, Apple App Store submission, Google Play release management, and preferably HarmonyOS publishing.Experience with crash reporting, application monitoring, analytics, testing, and performance optimisation is an advantage.Understanding of secure coding practices, API security, data protection, and mobile application security principles. AI-Assisted Development Practical experience using AI coding and development tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent, in a professional software-development environment.Able to use AI tools to improve productivity across coding, debugging, refactoring, technical research, test-case generation, documentation, and code review.Able to critically review and validate AI-generated output rather than relying on it without testing or technical judgement. Personal and Language Skills Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new technologies.Able to manage priorities and deliver projects on time in a changing business environment.A collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.Fluency in English is required.Proficiency in French is an advantage.Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency is an advantage Benefits Why Join APM?
