Procurement Team Leader

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community. Role Description Team Leader Procurement provides leadership and expertise in delivering complex goods and services procurements, including high-risk, high-value and specialised IT procurement activities across the Department. Working under broad direction, the role leads a procurement team, develops procurement capability, drives procurement strategy, and implements continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners with business units, engages industry and stakeholders, and proactively manages procurement activities to deliver compliant, value-for-money outcomes. We are seeking a collaborative and customer-focused leader with strong procurement expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to deliver complex procurement outcomes. Qualifications Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline and/or Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS) will be well regarded.
