Senior Software Engineer / Lead Engineer Shape the future of a leading cloud-based RegTech platform. Our client, a growing SaaS RegTech provider, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer or Lead Engineer to join their technology team and play a key role in the evolution of a modern, enterprise-grade platform. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to architecture and design decisions, and helping drive engineering excellence. Whether you're already operating as a Lead Engineer or you're a Senior Engineer looking to take the next step, you'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction while remaining close to the code. What You'll Do Design, build and enhance scalable, secure, cloud-native software solutions.Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across a modern SaaS platform.Deliver high-quality solutions across backend services, APIs, integrations and web applications.Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment and support.Collaborate with Product, Operations and broader business stakeholders to deliver practical, customer-focused outcomes.Mentor and support other engineers, sharing knowledge and helping uplift engineering capability across the team.Help drive best practices in software development, testing, automation and DevOps.Contribute to the reliability, performance and ongoing evolution of production systems. About You You are a strong software engineer who enjoys both hands-on development and helping others succeed. You are curious, pragmatic and passionate about building high-quality software. You may already be working as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead or Senior Engineer, or you may be looking for an opportunity to broaden your technical leadership responsibilities. You'll Bring Strong experience developing and delivering modern SaaS applications.Commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.Exposure to cloud-native development and AWS environments.An understanding of software architecture, design patterns and scalable application development.Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting other engineers.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience within RegTech, FinTech or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
