Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Large Scale Organisation Initial 12-month Contract opportunity (with chance to extend) Competitive Daily Rate Sydney based with hybrid work flexibility (2-3 days onsite and 2 days WFH) We are seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in strengthening enterprise security capabilities across identity, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact security initiatives, drive Zero Trust and IAM excellence, and help shape a resilient cyber security posture within a complex enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and enhance identity and access management (IAM) security controls, including MFA, SSO, privileged access management, identity governance, role-based access controls, and privileged identity protection. • Administer and support enterprise identity platforms, implementing secure access solutions and Zero Trust principles such as least privilege, continuous verification, and identity-centric security controls. • Develop and execute cyber security hardening initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, and network environments, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, and excessive user privileges. • Design, implement, and maintain network security controls, including segmentation, firewall policies, access controls, and secure architecture practices to protect critical systems and sensitive workloads. • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to remediate security risks, support vulnerability management and incident response activities, develop security standards and documentation, and ensure alignment with recognised security frameworks and industry best practices.
