Software Developer

nLogic is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, integrating, testing, or supporting software in a collaborative engineering environment. This position may support a variety of software development and engineering activities across application development, DevOps, automation, system integration, and development infrastructure. Candidates with experience in Java, C++, Linux, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, Agile development, or system administration are encouraged to apply. Primary Responsibilities Develop, integrate, test, and maintain software applications and system componentsAnalyze technical requirements and contribute to software design and implementationDevelop and maintain software using languages such as Java, C++, or other applicable programming languagesWork in Linux-based development environmentsSupport software integration, testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolutionDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated processes, and development toolsSupport DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycleConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical, virtual, and/or cloud-based development environmentsSupport system and software administration activities as neededParticipate in Agile development processes, including SCRUM and/or SAFeCollaborate with software developers, engineers, testers, and other technical team membersUse software development and collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and ConfluenceDevelop and maintain technical documentationSupport continuous improvement of software development and engineering processesPerform other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Currently hold or the ability to obtain an Active Secret Security ClearanceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experienceExperience in software development, software engineering, DevOps, or a related technical disciplineExperience with one or more programming languages, such as Java or C++Experience working in a Linux environmentExperience working in an Agile development environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, or continuous integration and deliveryExperience with system administration or development infrastructureExperience supporting physical, virtual, or cloud-based development environmentsExperience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and ConfluenceExperience with SCRUM and/or SAFeExperience with real-time systems, middleware, sensors, or system integrationExperience with RTI or similar technologiesExperience with automated testing or software verificationExperience supporting complex, mission-critical systemsExperience working in a cleared or defense environment Position Details Work Model: Onsite in Huntsville, ALTravel: MinimalWork Hours: 9/80 work scheduleU.S. Citizenship required Why nLogic At nLogic, we support mission-focused defense and space efforts that have real-world impact.
