The Role The Data team at Solink builds and manages a growing list of over 300 integrations to various data systems, including databases, POS systems, access control systems, analytics platforms, APIs, and more. These integrations form the basis of Solink’s powerful data analytics platform, a critical component of the Solink application. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer (P4) to join our Data Infrastructure team. At this level, you’re trusted to set technical direction for infrastructure supporting 10M+ events per day, to be a strategic collaborator with architects and other R&D teams, and to mentor colleagues across the team. You will work on multiple components of the product and AWS infrastructure, and your work will directly shape the scalability and efficiency of our data processing pipeline. What You’ll Do Build Scalable Infrastructure: Design and maintain backend systems and data infrastructure that support high volumes of integrations and real-time events across the Solink platformOwn the Full Stack: Contribute to both backend and frontend development using Node.js, React, and Serverless frameworks, delivering performant, reliable features used by thousands of customersSet Technical Direction: Drive architecture decisions for the data pipeline and integrations platform, and document standards so they scale across the teamCollaborate Across Teams: Work closely with architects, R&D, and cross-functional teams to implement new capabilities, improve system performance, and shape technical directionPlan with Intention: Participate in and help lead recurring design and planning meetings to scope and break down future work with input from product and engineering stakeholdersDrive Tasks to Completion: Use Jira to manage and prioritize your work, taking full ownership of deliverables while maintaining strong team collaborationSupport the Product: Assist customer support and success teams by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and delivering clear, technical explanations when neededInnovate with Purpose: Stay ahead of the curve by researching new technologies and contributing ideas to continuously improve product performance, maintainability, and scalabilityMentor and Raise the Bar: Coach other engineers through complex problems, lead by example in code reviews, and share knowledge that lifts the whole team Role Expectations This is a P4 — Staff level role. Cloud-native thinking is second natureStrong in JS/TS: You’re proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript and know how to deliver clean, efficient code across full stack applicationsServerless-Savvy: You have practical experience designing and maintaining serverless infrastructure at scale, and understand how to build for scalability and cost-efficiencyData-Informed: You’ve worked with data warehousing tools such as Snowflake and can navigate the challenges of building reliable, scalable data pipelinesAgile Aligned: You’re comfortable managing your work in Jira, participating in agile ceremonies, and helping teams break down and plan upcoming featuresIndependent Contributor and Mentor: You take ownership of your work, move initiatives forward independently, and coach others through complex problemsDevOps & IaC: Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, or Serverless Framework Nice-to-Have: Frontend Experience: Hands-on experience with React or similar modern frameworksSecurity-Minded: Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity best practicesPolyglot Perspective: Comfort with multiple programming languages beyond JavaScript/TypeScript Security Requirements Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
