Hybrid 4 days onsite in Dallas, TX
Our client seeks an AI Software Engineer to build an AI-powered loans platform within a financial services environment.
The role will focus on an AI Agent that extracts and understands key terms from complex credit agreements to support automated loan processes.
The platform leverages AI and LLM technologies, event-driven services, APIs, and blockchain-based transaction processing.
The position requires hands-on full-stack engineering, rapid prototyping, and integration of LLM capabilities into production systems.
This is a 12-month contract position based in Dallas, TX with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration.

Responsibilities
Design and develop AI-powered solutions that process complex credit agreements, extract financial terms, and capture underlying business processes and requirements.Leverage LLMs and AI coding agents throughout the software development lifecycle to prototype, develop, test, and deliver production code.Build and maintain full-stack applications, including Java and Python backend services and React-based frontend applications.Integrate LLM capabilities into production applications and contribute to AI orchestration, prompt engineering, document processing, and AI Agent development.Design and implement REST APIs and event-driven services using technologies such as Kafka for scalable and resilient distributed systems.Own components from discovery and rapid prototyping through development, testing, deployment, and production support.Integrate with data platforms including Snowflake and distributed data systems to support AI-powered applications and financial workflows.Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Experience Requirements
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of delivering production applications.Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development and use of AI coding agents.Experience integrating LLMs and/or AI Agents into software solutions.Proficiency in Java, Python, and React.Experience building and integrating REST APIs.Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.Experience with Snowflake or comparable data platforms.Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, architecture, and problem solving.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Preferred: Experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or lending/loans.Preferred: Experience with credit agreements, loan servicing, or structured credit products.Preferred: Experience with blockchain, smart contracts, or on-chain transaction systems.Preferred: Experience with RAG architectures, prompt engineering, AI/ML integrations, or AI-powered document processing.Preferred: Experience with containerized applications such as Docker/Kubernetes.Preferred: Experience on greenfield platforms or early-stage technology initiatives.
