Role Summary
The Salesforce DevOps / Release Engineer will support the optimization, automation, and governance of the Salesforce development and release lifecycle.
This role is essential to reducing manual release effort, improving deployment quality and traceability, strengthening environment governance, and driving continuous improvement across Copado, Jira, source control, and Salesforce environments.
The resource will provide day-to-day release support while also leading automation and process improvements that reduce recurring manual work, lower release risk, and improve overall DevOps maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Salesforce deployments and release activities using Copado and Git/source control.
Perform release readiness reviews, deployment validation, dependency analysis, package verification, and post-deployment validation.
Automate manual release checks and controls to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
Implement and maintain automated code-quality and static-analysis controls, including quality gates.
Support the proposed Salesforce environment restructuring and governance model across sandboxes and Production.
Monitor environment, repository alignment, identify metadata and source-control discrepancies.
Analyze deployment failures and release incidents, participate in RCA, and convert findings into preventive controls.
Improve Copado configuration, branching, promotion, validation, and release processes.
Develop release dashboards and metrics covering release efficiency, quality, DevOps maturity, and process compliance.
Maintain release procedures, standards, documentation, and developer training materials.
Partner with Salesforce architects, developers, QA, business teams, and Release Management to continuously improve delivery practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
Salesforce: Salesforce metadata and deployment architecture, Apex, Flow, permissions, and environment management.
DevOps: Copado, Git/source control, CI/CD concepts, branching and merging, release management, and environment strategy.
Quality: Salesforce Code Analyzer, PMD, or equivalent static-analysis tooling; automated validation, testing, and quality gates.
Integration & Automation: Jira integration, REST APIs, and scripting or automation experience.
Operational: Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills, with the ability to identify systemic improvements rather than only resolving individual deployment issues.
Salary Range: $140,000 to $155,000 per year
Qualifications: BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
