About The Position Term: Summer 2027 Department: Bruce Sites and Projects (BSP)Location: 393 University Avenue, Toronto, ON – Hybrid Term Length: 14 months (May 2027 – June 2028)Discipline(s) Required: Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.Year of Study: 3rd & 4th year preferredSalary: The hourly rate for this position is $30 per hour. How You Will Make An Impact This opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to: Interfacing with project managers, planners, other engineering disciplines and our main clients.With guidance, participating in the development and process improvement via automation of project management BI (Business Intelligence) reports. Typical projects may include:Managing and improving the weekly reporting systems for multiple portfolios of projectsCreating new BI and automated reports to solve specific client requests involving multiple stakeholders’ inputInterfacing with project managers stationed at the client’s site to assist them with automation and analysis of dataUsing project management scheduling software to develop and track schedule progressWorking, as needed, with the Kinectrics and Bruce Power programming team to develop and improve in-house tools.Participating in and recommending innovative projects and solutions to existing issues. What You Need To Succeed Currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary, undergraduate program requiring a co-op placement Sound, fundamental knowledge of engineering and/or science principlesStrong problem-solving skills and aptitude in project managementExcellent written and oral communication, time management, and interpersonal skillsBruce Power Site Access Security Clearance (asset, but not mandatory) Strong understanding of the following will also be an asset, but not mandatory: C#, Python, SQL, VBAs, React, .NET CoreKnowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic for ApplicationsKnowledge of Primavera P6 or MS ProjectBasic understanding of MS PowerBI is an assetUnderstanding of Microsoft Azure and Azure Pipelines The successful candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance process. Processing times may exceed 8 months, and clearance must be approved before the candidate's employment start date. The Security Clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).
