QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: QA Automation Engineer Location: Onsite in Elk Grove, CA Duration: 12 months Contract: w2 (No c2c and No 1099) Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Years of experience: • 6+ years’ experience in Software Development / Testing with Strong business analytical skills to understand the critical business flows for an application. • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for REST APIs and web applications using Selenium and Python. • Build and execute test automation strategies for Voice/VoIP/SIP-based systems and features. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across the application stack. • Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data integrity and support test case design. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles. • Use Git for version control and collaborative test code management. • Monitor and troubleshoot application logs using Splunk to identify and diagnose defects. • Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with relevant standards (WCAG or equivalent). • Manage and track defects/incidents through ITSM tools as part of the QA lifecycle. • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans. • Clearly communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices. • Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills What are the top 3 skills required for this role? Must have Proficiency in a scripting language for automation such as Python or JavaScript, also needs experience REST APIs test automation.Must be Proficient in API & Integration Testing Automation.Must have SQL + Log Analysis for Defect Substantiation.
