Position Overview
Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a 12 month W2 contract.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands on experience with manual testing, test automation, Selenium or Playwright, SQL, Agile methodologies, and software quality assurance.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, collaborating with development and QA teams, and mentoring team members on automation testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct testing to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
• Perform Manual Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Build, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Perform Software Quality Assurance activities throughout the SDLC.
• Provide testing updates, reports, and recommendations.
• Identify and help mitigate risks that may impact product quality.
• Create and maintain test data.
• Use SQL to query databases and support testing.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies and ceremonies.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.
• Coach and mentor QA team members on automation testing best practices.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Hands on experience with software testing and test automation.
• Experience with Manual Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and UAT testing.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Strong understanding of QA and SQA principles.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including querying databases and managing test data.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor QA team members on automation testing practices.
