About the Role: We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team. You will own Software Factory, a new product area that puts AI agents on every stage of the development loop — triaging an issue, planning it, writing the code, and checking the result — while keeping people on the judgment calls. Human time and human attention has become the bottleneck, and the opportunity is to move towards automation of continuous software maintenance and improvement. You will define how agents help fix bugs, implement features, improve performance, mitigate security issues, improve code quality, and increase test coverage. You will report to the Product Lead and will be located in San Francisco, CA (hybrid). If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. What You Will Do: Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Software Factory.Define the workflow model — how work moves through classification, analysis, implementation, and review, and where the handoff back to a person belongsOwn the trust and quality bar: evals, verification, retry behavior, and what the factory is permitted to touch without human approvalDefine how factories integrate with where engineering work already lives, including GitHub and Linear, and with agent harnesses such as Codex and Claude Code. And define new dedicated surfaces for how to interact with factory agents.Shape the memory and context model that lets a factory accumulate real knowledge of a repository over timeWork directly with design partners and Enterprise customers adopting factories against their own codebases About You: You've worked on developer tooling products, ideally CI/CD, code review, developer productivity, or AI coding toolsYou have deep hands-on experience with coding agents and a substantiated point of view on where they succeed and where they fail todayYou have the technical depth to reason about agent orchestration, evals, context management, and sandboxed executionYou have owned a platform area that other product teams build on, and set technical direction others adoptedYou have experience with products whose output is probabilistic, including defining acceptance bars and measuring quality over timeYou have experience working directly with design partners or Enterprise customers on adopting new engineering workflows Bonus If You: Have worked on multi-agent systems or agent orchestrators.Have worked on evals or systematic measurement of AI output qualityHave worked on products adopted bottom-up by individual developers before spreading to teamsHave run or operated a large open-source project Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity.Inclusive Healthcare Package.Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.Flexible Time Off.We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed. The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $208,000 - $312,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role.
