Siemens S7-1500 | TIA Portal | Profinet | Siemens Safety | VSDs | Commissioning | Melbourne We’re Hiring – Controls Commissioning Engineer Melbourne, VIC Start Date: October 2026 Permanent Position Triton Solutions is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Controls Commissioning Engineer to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on role supporting a large-scale materials handling and logistics automation project. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable being on site, working with PLC-controlled machinery, troubleshooting issues and getting systems commissioned and running. For this role, strong hands-on experience with Siemens S7-1500, TIA Portal and Profinet is essential. What you'll be doing • Testing and commissioning PLC-controlled automation systems on site • Siemens S7-1500 PLC commissioning and troubleshooting • Fault finding across PLC, Profinet and field devices • Testing and validation of machine safety systems • Working with Siemens integrated safety, VSDs, barcode scanners and industrial safety devices • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control drawings • Supporting system integration, testing and handover activities • Completing commissioning and testing documentation What we're looking for • Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or a related discipline • 2+ years of relevant controls/automation experience • Strong Siemens S7-1500 and TIA Portal experience – essential • Hands-on Profinet commissioning and troubleshooting experience – essential • Experience with Siemens integrated safety systems • Experience with VSDs and industrial field devices • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills • Comfortable working in a hands-on, site-based commissioning environment • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team • Available to commence from October 2026 Experience in warehouse automation, conveyor systems or materials handling would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
