Software Engineer, AI Agents and SAP BTP

Location: Denver, CO Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire About the Opportunity We're partnering with an established consumer technology company in the audio and music space that combines a long-standing consumer brand with modern connected technology. The company is building a new engineering team focused on AI agents and agentic applications and is looking for a Software Engineer to be one of the early members of that team. You'll work hands-on building and improving AI agents that connect enterprise applications, APIs, and live business data. The environment utilizes MCP (Model Context Protocol), A2A (Agent2Agent), JavaScript/Node.js, SAP CAP, and SAP BTP. What You'll Do Design and build new AI agents using MCP and/or A2A frameworksTake agent projects from initial business problem through design, development, testing, deployment, and productionMaintain and enhance existing production AI agentsDevelop applications and services using JavaScript/Node.js and SAP CAP/BTPIntegrate agents with enterprise systems through REST APIs, SAP OData services, and other live data sourcesBuild secure, read-only access to source systems and help establish reusable development patternsTroubleshoot issues across multiple applications and integrationsUse modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude CodePartner directly with business and technical teams to understand problems and translate them into practical technical solutionsClearly explain technical recommendations to nontechnical stakeholdersContribute to automated testing, GitHub-based development, and technical documentation What We're Looking For Approximately 1-5 years of software development experience, although depth of relevant hands-on experience matters more than an exact number of yearsHands-on experience building AI agents, ideally using MCP and/or A2AExperience with JavaScript, Node.js, and/or TypeScriptExposure to SAP CAP and/or SAP BTPExperience working with APIs, integrations, JSON, and modern application developmentAbility to demonstrate something you've actually built, whether professionally, personally, or through a substantial academic projectComfortable using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similarStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technology in terms of the business problem it solvesComfortable taking ownership and working in a fast-moving environment with limited red tape Nice to Have SAP ecosystem knowledgeSAP S/4HANASAP HANA CloudSAP ODataCloud FoundryReactOAuth 2.0GitHub ActionsE-commerce, marketplace, or ERP integration experience Location & Relocation This position is onsite work days at the company's Denver, CO headquarters.
