Location: Frederick, MD (100% Onsite)
Base Pay: $43-73/hr + Overtime Opportunities

Insight Global is seeking Systems Test Engineers with VoIP expertise to support one of the nation's most impactful aviation modernization initiatives.
This role supports a large-scale Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program focused on transforming the voice communication systems that enable safe and efficient air traffic operations across the United States.
As a member of a highly collaborative engineering team, you will play a critical role in testing, validating, and deploying next-generation IP-based voice communication systems that directly support air traffic control operations.

What You'll Be Doing
Deploy, integrate, and test IP-based voice communication systems in lab and operational environmentsDevelop and execute system-level test procedures in accordance with program requirementsCreate comprehensive test cases, document results, and analyze system performanceGenerate test reports, defect reports, and mitigation plans to drive issue resolutionPartner closely with systems, software, and network engineering teams to validate system functionalityMaintain Verification Requirements Traceability Matrix (VRTM) documentationSupport customer demonstrations, site deployments, training events, and operational testing activitiesTravel to project sites to support implementations and ensure successful system integration
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field4+ years of systems test engineering experience supporting complex technical systemsHands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and analyzing VoIP networksUnderstanding of IP networking concepts including routing, switching, protocols, and network architectureExperience developing and executing formal test plans and proceduresProficiency with Microsoft Windows environments, Linux (Oracle preferred), and virtual machine technologiesAbility to travel up to 50% as needed for deployments, testing, and customer support activities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other federal/government programsFamiliarity with voice communication systems, telecommunications infrastructure, or mission-critical communicationsExposure to network analysis tools such as WiresharkKnowledge of requirements verification, validation, and traceability methodologies
