Our challenge We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in both frontend and backend technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and expertise in Java-based development frameworks. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Calgary, AB is CAD $90k – CAD $100k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Develop and maintain web applications using Java and related technologies.Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Integrate frontend applications with backend services and databases.Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards.Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Product Managers.Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.Support deployment activities and production issues. Requirements: Develop backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.Build responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular/React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle to design and optimize queries.Integrate frontend applications with backend services and third-party APIs.Utilize Git for source code management and collaborate within a version-controlled environment.Implement unit testing and debugging practices to ensure application quality.Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and sprint activities.Deploy and manage applications using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWS or Azure environments. Preferred, but not required Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.Exposure to DevOps practices.Understanding of Design Patterns and System Design.
