Job Description
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:
Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and business performance.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across designated business units.Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.Provide commercial support on projects, ensuring financial performance aligns with operational objectives.Develop and monitor KPIs to drive accountability and improve business outcomes.Influence stakeholder decision-making through robust financial modelling, business cases, and scenario analysis.Support month-end and quarterly performance reviews, providing commentary and actionable recommendations.Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting requirements.Partner with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Act as a trusted finance business partner, bridging the gap between finance, operations, and engineering teams to support growth and profitability.
The Successful Applicant
Worked with a services or consultancy firm (engineering, tech consultancy, IT services etc.)A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are highly regarded.Experience working as a true business partner Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in financial systems and tools.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
