Senior Java Developer

Role- Senior Java Developer (Java, Spark, GCP) Location- Chicago, IL, Texas, Atlanta, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, cloud-native application development, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and developing scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a Senior Java Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to build high-performance applications, drive technical excellence, and contribute to architectural decisions across complex projects. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications.Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions.Develop cloud-native applications leveraging GCP, AWS, or Azure services.Implement event-driven architectures and distributed systems.Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Optimize application performance, concurrency handling, and memory utilization.Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and best development practices.Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence across teams.Required Qualifications Technical Skills Strong experience with Core Java (JDK 8+) including concurrency, multithreading, and memory management.Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.Expertise in Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and Design Patterns.Experience developing event-driven systems.Strong SQL skills with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.Experience with testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito.Preferred Qualifications Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing.Familiarity with distributed computing and cloud-based analytics solutions.Experience in agile software development environments.Knowledge of security, scalability, and performance optimization best practices.Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.Passion for code quality, best practices, and continuous improvement.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Us?
