Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries. Your Tasks And Responsibilities You take a system-wide view of the MRI scanner software and translate complex non-functional requirements into measurable and sustainable engineering solutions. You drive and own system-level concepts for software integration, reliability, performance, observability, and software obsolescence, ensuring sustainable quality across the entire MRI scanner lifecycle.You collaborate with international, agile development teams to ensure that component-level solutions support the quality of the overall scanner system. You establish and evolve automated system-level testing for integration, reliability, performance, and regression detection. You use system data, telemetry, and technical analysis to identify issues early and continuously improve product quality. You validate system concepts through prototyping, exploratory technical work, and automated analysis.You help shape system engineering practices, integration strategies, and technical governance across the development organization. Your Qualifications And Experience You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.You have many years of experience in designing, developing, and evolving complex software systems You possess deep expertise in non-functional requirements, including reliability, scalability, performance, observability, maintainability, and seamless system integration.You bring extensive experience in automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and continuous delivery across distributed development teams.You already have demonstrated technical leadership experience, for example within project environments, where you have driven technical direction and successfully coordinated technical activities.You have advanced knowledge of technologies such as .NET, C#, SQL, Windows IoT, Azure DevOps, Docker, Azure, and Snowflake, and can effectively apply them in complex business environments. Your Attributes And Skills You communicate confidently and effectively in English and can convey complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; German language skills are an advantage.You combine strong system thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset, maintaining a holistic view of complex products and their interactions across the entire ecosystem.You excel at translating complex business and quality requirements into scalable engineering solutions, measurable outcomes, and robust validation strategies.You build trust through your structured and analytical approach, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively across functions, disciplines, and organizational levels.You proactively drive alignment, foster technical excellence, and inspire teams through ownership, initiative, and a solution-oriented mindset.
