Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Python Software Engineer to join our client company’s Trade Engineering team to develop and enhance the Liquid Platform, a foundational component of the future Trade Hub architecture.
This role will build services connecting LAM, LPM, and Atlas while supporting critical platform capabilities for future growth.
This is a hands-on role focused on Python, AWS, data platforms, and agentic development workflows.
You’ll build and support containerized applications and internal web applications that enable supplier and company collaborative planning.
The ideal candidate brings strong Python experience, solid TypeScript/JavaScript knowledge, and experience working with modern analytical data technologies.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and enhance services and platform capabilities for the Liquid Platform.Develop Python-based services and containerized applications hosted on AWS.Build and support internal web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript with React and/or Svelte.Develop data solutions using DuckDB, Parquet, PostgreSQL, and other SQL-based databases.Build services and integrations connecting LAM, LPM, Atlas, and other Trade Hub capabilities.Apply observability and production engineering practices to ensure reliability, performance, and operational excellence.Use agentic workflows and AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day engineering work.Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.Contribute to architecture, technical direction, engineering standards, and best practices for the Liquid Platform.Help evolve foundational platform capabilities that support future Trade Hub growth.Requirements
4+ years of senior software engineering experience building and supporting production applications and services.Strong Python experience is required, with recent experience developing backend services or applications in Python.TypeScript/JavaScript experience is required, particularly for supporting or building modern web applications.
React and/or Svelte experience is preferred.Experience building and deploying AWS-based, containerized applications.Experience with AWS services such as S3 and related cloud infrastructure.Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL-based databases.Experience with DuckDB, Parquet, and/or similar analytical database technologies.
Candidates without direct DuckDB or Parquet experience but with strong analytical database experience are encouraged to apply.Proven experience using agentic workflows or AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day engineering work.Experience with Dynatrace or similar observability and application performance monitoring platforms.Experience with Harness Pipeline or similar continuous delivery (CD) tools.Enterprise experience is helpful, particularly experience building and supporting business-critical internal applications.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
