Your mission Join our Berlin team to develop and operate a situational awareness platform while building secure AI agent workflows for corporate IT. You will split your time between keeping a live platform reliable and secure and turning business processes into production-ready AI workflows. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys building across the stack, solving production issues, and taking ownership of security and reliability. What You’ll Do Platform development and operations Build new capabilities for a situational awareness interface.Improve platform reliability, access control, and deployment practices.Investigate production issues, fix their root causes, and improve monitoring and traceability.Maintain the security baseline through patching, secrets management, and least-privilege access. Secure AI workflows Turn business processes into functional prototypes and production-ready agent workflows.Design workflows that keep data from different business domains appropriately separated.Build in human approval before an agent takes an action that changes data or triggers a process.Make agent actions and transactions traceable and auditable.Integrate different AI providers and models, including on-premise options, and select the right model for each task.Experiment with models and agent coordination within clear security requirements. Your profile You are a hands-on software engineer who can move between backend development, frontend work, and platform operations. You enjoy turning an unfamiliar process into working software, then making it secure and reliable enough for production. You are curious about AI agents and comfortable experimenting, while keeping control, traceability, and data protection in mind. Must-have At least three years of relevant software engineering experience.Strong hands-on coding skills in Rust, TypeScript, and Python, with experience building APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.Experience shipping and operating production software, including deployment, trouble shooting, and reliability improvements.The ability to understand a business process quickly and turn it into a functional prototype.A practical security mindset, including threat modelling, isolation boundaries, and audit trails.Working knowledge of identity and access management and data protection basics, including GDPR.Fluent English, eligibility for security clearance, and nationality of a NATO member country or close ally. Nice to have Experience with RAG pipelines or multi-agent orchestration.Experience with EU-region inference or sovereign cloud environments.On-premise model hosting and routing tasks between AI models.Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture.Frontend experience building monitoring dashboards.
