You will play a key role in determining engineering requirements, developing renewal and enhancement strategies, and ensuring our building services assets continue to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient railway for passengers and freight users. Working closely with maintenance teams, project delivery teams and key stakeholders, you will use asset performance data, condition information and engineering expertise to identify and prioritise interventions that maximise asset reliability, compliance and value for money. What does the average day look like? As an Asset Engineer (Building Services & Systems), no two days are the same. You could be analysing asset performance data, carrying out site inspections, developing renewal strategies, supporting major projects, investigating technical issues, or collaborating with colleagues across maintenance, operations and project delivery. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our building services and systems assets remain safe, reliable and fit for the future, helping to deliver a world-class railway for our passengers and freight customers." A Little Bit About The Team... You'll be joining the Asset Management team, a specialist engineering team responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability and performance of a wide range of building services and systems assets, such as lifts and escalators, ventilation, and fire protection, across the high speed route. These assets form a critical part of the railway infrastructure and support the operation of stations, depots and operational buildings. Working within a collaborative and highly skilled engineering environment, the team manages the whole asset lifecycle, from condition assessment and maintenance strategy through to renewal, refurbishment and enhancement projects. The team works closely with maintenance colleagues, project delivery teams, contractors and key stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable asset solutions that support a world-class railway.
