Identity and Access Management Engineer

Position Name – Identity & Access Management Engineer Type of hiring – Subcon Location – Mississauga, ON or Toronto, ON (Onsite Hybrid) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management Engineer to lead the migration of approximately 100 applications from legacy SiteMinder and Nexus platforms to Okta Workforce Identity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in workforce identity and identity security, with a focus on authentication and identity provisioning. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive automation and self-service enablement while collaborating effectively within an Agile SAFe environment. Responsibilities: Lead the migration of applications from SiteMinder and Nexus to Okta Workforce Identity, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Design and implement identity security solutions that align with organizational policies and compliance requirements.Develop and maintain authentication and identity provisioning processes using SAML and web authentication protocols.Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate Microsoft Entra ID / Cloud Identity into existing workflows.Drive automation initiatives to enhance self service capabilities for end users.Utilize JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation, ensuring transparency and effective communication.Participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders throughout the migration process. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience with Cloud IAM solutions, specifically Okta Workforce Identity.Strong understanding of identity security principles and best practices.Expertise in authentication and identity provisioning, including SAML and web authentication protocols.Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Cloud Identity.Proficiency in automation and self-service enablement strategies.Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.Experience working in an Agile SAFe environment. Preferred Skills: Certifications in Identity and Access Management (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP).Experience with additional identity management tools and platforms.Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to identity and access management. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7-10 Years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with a focus on cloud solutions.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
