Software Engineer, AI and Platforms

We manage capital on behalf of various partners, including banks, insurance companies, pension funds, family offices, credit unions, and individual investors. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong foundation in software development and hands-on experience building with Generative and Agentic AI. This new role is the first engineering hire on our AI and Tech team, reporting to the Director, AI and Tech Transformation. It suits someone who wants breadth: modern application development, AI-driven automation and close work with data. You will design, build and run software that our business teams rely on, in a regulated environment where security and auditability matter. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain internal business applications and platforms, from requirements through production.Apply AI-assisted approaches throughout the application development lifecycle while maintaining engineering quality standards.Contribute to the evolution of software delivery processes from traditional SDLC approaches toward AI-driven Application Development Lifecycle (ADLC) models.Implement AI agents and automation capabilities that support:o Planning o Development o Testing o Review o Integration o Deployment o Operational support Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and repetitive engineering tasks through AI-driven automation.Develop data solutions, reporting and system integrations that connect core business platforms.Support production applications and assist with troubleshooting complex technical issues.Use AI-assisted techniques to accelerate root cause analysis and incident resolution.Build security, auditability and data protection into solutions from the start. What we believe our ideal candidate will possess: · 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with production systems you have built and supported · Strong Python skills and experience with modern web frameworks. · Solid SQL and relational database experience. · Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), AI coding agents and agent frameworks. · A disciplined approach to AI-assisted development: careful code review, thorough test generated output. · Clear communication, and the ability to work independently and with business stakeholders. · Experience with workflow orchestration tools. · Experience deploying and operating services on Azure. · Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. · Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric. · Experience in financial services, lending or another regulated industry.
