About Prime Freight
Prime Freight is a Montreal freight forwarder that has moved ocean, air and road shipments for more than 30 years.
We also build our own software.
Our in-house platform runs quoting, bookings and shipment tracking for the whole business, and our six-person development team keeps adding to it.
Right now we are moving large parts of that platform off a low-code system and into our own services, and automating how we quote and sell ocean and air freight.
That's the work you'd be part of.
How we build
We write a lot of our code with AI tools like Claude (including Claude Code) and GitHub Copilot.
You'll use them every day, and you'll learn how to guide them well and check what they produce before it ships.
Timing
Start in October 2026, or January 2027 if you're looking for a winter term.

What you'll work on
