Software Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager | London | AI | Series A 📍 London (on-site 4 days a week) 💸 £130-170k plus high equity I'm working with a fast-growing AI company in London that's looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a small but senior engineering team. They want someone who's been a strong engineer first, has moved into leadership, and still understands what good technical decision-making and delivery actually look like. You'll be responsible for engineers working across three product/engineering squads, covering: Hiring, coaching and developing engineersHelping technical leads take real ownershipWorking closely with Product and the CTOBuilding an engineering culture where people understand the customer problemRaising the bar on engineering quality, accountability and execution The ideal background: A few years managing engineers directlyPreviously a strong IC in a venture-backed startup or serious technology companyExperience hiring and developing product-led engineersComfortable coordinating several teams at onceExperience shipping things like distributed systems, data pipelines or platform services The company has grown significantly in the past year, it works with major institutional customers across the US and Europe, and recently raised a strong Series A.
