Cloud Engineer ARO Technical Lead

Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands-on experience with Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) - Experience designing, building and configuring OpenShift-based container platforms in Azure - Strong knowledge of Red Hat and Linux-based environments - Experience supporting application containerization and moving applications onto OpenShift platforms - Ability to lead a proof of concept or pilot, including onboarding initial applications and validating that the platform works successfully - Strong troubleshooting skills across OpenShift, Kubernetes, containers, Azure and Linux - Client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions and lead technical conversations - Comfortable operating as a hands-on technical lead rather than a project manager Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Experience working alongside a parallel AKS delivery team - Previous experience coordinating with offshore engineers - Experience helping clients establish container-platform governance, standards or reusable deployment patterns - Experience supporting container-platform pilots that later expanded across multiple applications - Relevant Red Hat, OpenShift, Azure or Kubernetes certifications Job Description The Cloud Engineer, ARO Technical Lead will lead the design and implementation of a new Azure Red Hat OpenShift container platform. This resource will be responsible for building the platform, supporting the migration of pilot applications and validating that the applications function successfully within the new environment. The engineer will serve as a hands-on technical lead, working directly with client stakeholders while collaborating with the broader delivery team. This is an initial remote engagement expected to run approximately 8 to 10 weeks, with potential for future work based on project success and client demand. We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
