Role Description This remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments that support BrainyYack’s custom software and AI automation solutions. The person in this role will manage infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting infrastructure issues, optimizing system reliability, working with system administration tools, and collaborating with software and data teams to support deployment pipelines. The engineer will also help define infrastructure standards, contribute to documentation and best practices, and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis to continuously improve the environment. Qualifications Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and performance issues.Experience with cloud infrastructure design and management, including compute, storage, and virtualization services.Background in system administration, including configuration management, monitoring, and automation tools.Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including routing, load balancing, and VPNs.Understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, access control, encryption, and security best practices.Hands-on experience with major cloud providers.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.Proficiency with scripting or programming languages commonly used in infrastructure automation (e.g., Python, Bash).Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively across teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Apply here: https://brainyyack.bamboohr.com/careers/28?source=aWQ9MTQ%3D
