DevOps Engineer

This position does not offer visa sponsorship or subcontracting (C2C) arrangements. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. with no sponsorship and be willing to work on our W-2. You’ll work across the Build domain for client's three monorepos, supporting the systems that developers depend on every day: GitHub Enterprise (GHE), CI infrastructure and agents, and the overall CI developer experience. A major part of the role is investigating build failures, handling urgent requests, managing CI capacity and agents, and coordinating with the right teams when problems cross ownership boundaries. The environment has a meaningful learning curve and requires knowledge across several interconnected systems, so we’re looking for someone who can develop a broad understanding while going deep when a problem requires it. Who you are You’re a T-shaped platform/infrastructure engineer: broad enough understanding of CI, build infrastructure (Bazel), agents and how developer workflows fit together, while being able to go deep technically when something breaks. You have hands-on experience with CI/CD and large-scale developer or platform infrastructure, and you’re comfortable operating systems rather than only designing them. You’re self-driven and pragmatic. You don’t need every problem to arrive with a clear owner or solution and you gather context, identify the right people, make progress, and communicate what’s happening. Most importantly, you enjoy helping developers stay productive and making complex infrastructure feel reliable and understandable.
