Sr. Application Developer – Web & API Development (.NET/Java Stack) | React, Azure, SQL Server Job Title: Sr. Application Developer – Web & API Development Location: Oklahoma City, OK – Onsite Client: Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) Contract Duration: October 14, 2026 – October 13, 2027 Extension: Option to Renew Pay Rate: $60/hour Contract Type: SW1025 – IT Temporary Staffing Services Visa: USC / Green Card / TN Interview: 1 Round Job Type: Contract Position Overview The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) is seeking a Sr. Application Developer with strong experience in .NET, React, Azure, Web/API Development, and SQL Server to support application development and IT projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality, secure, maintainable, and reusable applications; resolving complex system integration challenges; collaborating with business stakeholders and external teams; and supporting cloud-based application development in an Agile environment. Must-Have Skills Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: Web & API Development – .NET StackUI Development – React / Angular / Node.jsMicrosoft Azure / Cloud PlatformsRequired Technical Skills .NET / Web & API DevelopmentReact and/or AngularMicrosoft Azure / Cloud TechnologiesRESTful APIs / Web ServicesXML and JSONHTTP, SSL, TCP/IPSQL ServerT-SQLStored ProceduresDatabase optimization and performance tuningAzure DevOpsGit / Source ControlAgile/Scrum development methodologiesApplication integration and troubleshootingCloud-based application developmentKey Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications.Develop and enhance web applications and APIs using modern development technologies.Build responsive user interfaces using React, Angular, and/or Node.js.Develop and integrate applications with Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.Design and consume Web Services and APIs using JSON, XML, HTTP, and related technologies.Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, T-SQL queries, and stored procedures.Troubleshoot complex application and system integration issues.Collaborate with external development teams and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical challenges.Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to application architecture decisions.Develop secure, reusable, maintainable, and scalable code.Monitor application performance and implement improvements to ensure fast and reliable front-end responses.Participate in Agile ceremonies and development activities.Use Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, CI/CD, and development workflows.Use Git for version control and collaborative development.Automate and improve development and deployment workflows where appropriate.Evaluate the feasibility of proposed applications and system modifications.Identify technical requirements, dependencies, limitations, and system restrictions.Learn and adopt new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies as required.Support project planning, execution, implementation, and finalization while meeting project timelines and requirements.Education & Experience Candidates should meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; OR2–4 years of application development experience; OREquivalent combination of education and experience.Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
