What you’ll do: We build Artificial Intelligence as close to natural as it gets. AI that feels alive. We deliver brain-inspired chips that behave like humans do. AI that makes machines assisting humans act, and react, in real time. AI that optimizes energy and maximizes efficiency, saving time, money, and vital natural resources. Welcome to an AI-Ready future! You will be responsible for micro-architecting, designing, implementing and debugging our IP designs, in close cooperation with our architecture and verification team. You will be part of a highly diverse international team of skilled engineers and scientists, and you are expected to be a key driver of the team’s further growth. In addition, your role will involve: Design and implement our state-of-the-art artificial intelligence IPs for wearable devices that lead to exciting launches of hardware at SnapImplement the steps in the development cycle of our IPs (micro architecture definition, RTL design, gate-level synthesis, PPA optimisation)Debugging the design, in close collaboration with the verification teamDevelop and maintain flows for regression tests, synthesis, linting, power analysis etcAnalyse code coverage and provide feedback to the verification team to achieve coverage closureWork in close collaboration with our other R&D departments who work on neural network design and optimisation, AI compilers, and operating systemsBe an integral part of a highly diverse international team of skilled engineers and scientists, and a key driver of the team’s further growthAuthor clear and comprehensive documentation Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ample hands-on experience with state-of-the-art RTL design methodologies and languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL)Experience with all aspects of DfX, such as testability, MBIST+Repair, yield enhancement, test patterns, memory ECC, and debug infrastructureSolid programming and scripting skills (2+ years of e.g. C, C++, Python)Proactive, flexible, team player with can-do attitude and excellent problem analysis skillsProven experience in process development and documentationExcellent written and verbal English communication Minimum Qualifications: MSc degree in related field such as electrical engineering or equivalent years of experience5+ years of experience in RTL hardware design and/or verification Preferred Qualifications: Analyzing coverage resultsExperience in designing CPUs, GPUs, or NPUsExperience in designing components of image signal processing or computer vision solutionsUnderstanding of physical aspects of silicon design, i.e. impact of design choices on timing, area, and power consumptionWorking knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, neuromorphic computeExperience with common requirement management practices, software engineering tools such as Git, etc. A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
