Software Developer

RMC is seeking a .NET / Software Developer to support our customer 100% on-site in Dahlgren, Virginia. The selected candidate will develop and maintain software solutions in a Department of Defense environment, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle—from translating customer requirements into functional solutions to testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. This role is well suited to a detail-oriented developer with strong software life cycle management experience and an interest in building reliable applications for mission-focused users. Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain software functionality based on customer requirementsContribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenanceDevelop and support applications using .NET technologies and modern front-end frameworksTroubleshoot and debug applications, identify root causes, and implement effective solutionsApply modern application architecture, responsive design, and user experience principlesWork within a DoD environment and support development activities using a DevSecOps pipelineUse source control, participate in code reviews, and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practicesCollaborate with customers and team members using Agile/Scrum processesSupport SharePoint-based solutions, as needed Requirements High school diploma or GEDThree to seven years of experience with software development technologies such as{{:}}.NET Core and/or .NET FrameworkC#Entity FrameworkSQLRESTful APIs and web servicesAngular or another modern front-end framework, such as React or VueAngular Material or a comparable UI/CSS frameworkExperience developing and supporting applications hosted on Linux or Windows systemsExperience with modern application architecture, responsive design, and user experience principlesExperience with source control tools such as Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practicesAbility to work in a DoD environment and support development within a DevSecOps pipelineStrong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilityAbility to understand customer needs and translate requirements into software functionalityDoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.) required at time application is submitted. Clearance Requirements An Interim DoD Secret clearance is required to start. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $110,000 to $150,000 (annually).
