Senior Python Developer – Financial Services
Experience: 15+ Years
Location: New York City, NY – Hybrid
Work Schedule: 3 Days Onsite / Week
Duration: 2+ Year Contract
Local Requirement: Candidates must have recent project experience in the NY/NJ area
Required Technical Qualifications
Python & Application Development
10+ years of hands-on Python development.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.Strong experience building enterprise applications and APIs.API & Integration
REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger, gRPC.OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, SAML, and secure API authentication.Experience integrating REST APIs, SOAP services, message queues, and event-driven systems.Cloud & Infrastructure
Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Docker and Kubernetes.Microservices and containerized deployments.Terraform and infrastructure automation preferred.Databases & Data
Strong SQL skills.Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, or Redis.Experience developing data pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or Apache Spark.Messaging & Distributed Systems
Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or comparable event-streaming technologies.Experience designing highly available and scalable distributed systems.DevOps & Testing
