Epsom, Surrey and Barbican,London | Hybrid Working (One office day per week) | Permanent | Full-Time Competitive Salary Available, Depending On Experience 37.5 hours per week We are seeking Senior Software / AI Product Engineers who can identify, design, build and put into production AI-powered tools that solve real business problems. Working in a forward-deployed model, you will partner directly with business stakeholders to uncover opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions and iterate based on feedback. The role combines hands-on software engineering, data integration, automation and product thinking, with success measured through adoption, reliability and measurable business value. Successful candidates will be comfortable taking solutions from concept through to production, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment to cloud infrastructure, monitoring and operational support. You will own the full lifecycle, combining strong software engineering fundamentals and practical application of AI technologies with cloud and DevOps expertise to deliver value quickly and safely. While AI-assisted development is central to the role, this remains a hands-on software engineering position requiring strong coding, architectural and operational capabilities. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will: Build digital products, AI-powered features, agents and automated workflows that solve priority business challenges. Validate ideas quickly with business stakeholders through AI-prototyped products and solutions rather than documentation. Use AI-assisted tools (Claude and/or Copilot) to take solutions from discovery and prototype through testing, deployment, monitoring and ongoing support. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation of cloud-hosted solutions. Productionise successful prototypes into secure, maintainable internal applications. Champion effective use of AI to increase engineering productivity and accelerate delivery. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll bring experience in (Skills & Experience Required):   Translating loosely defined business challenges and/or requirements into working digital products, collaborating directly with stakeholders to validate ideas through rapid iteration. Strong stakeholder collaboration and management skills, product judgement and a bias for practical delivery. AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude) to accelerate digital product delivery, rapidly producing prototypes, proof-of-concepts and production-ready solutions whilst maintaining appropriate levels of quality, security and maintainability. Designing and developing modern web applications, dashboards, APIs and internal tools using established programming languages (JavaScript/Java/Python) and development frameworks and languages (e.g. React). Full-stack engineering covering frontend user interfaces, backend services, data and integration patterns. Deploying, operating and supporting applications in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure. Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment processes. Building and operating production services with appropriate monitoring, alerting, logging and observability tooling (e.g. New Relic) Designing and consuming APIs and integrating data from internal and third-party platforms and services. Strong understanding of software architecture, security, performance, scalability and resilience principles. Evaluating and introducing emerging AI technologies to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes.   Desirable skills and experience: Building data dashboards, reporting platforms, commercial and analytics products or operational tooling. Developing solutions on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, Storage and managed database services. Relational and non-relational database technologies, Data Engineering, Machine Learning and LLMs. Event-driven architectures, messaging platforms and system integrations. Experience in healthcare, fitness, retail, digital or other customer-facing environments.
