🚀 Lead Data Engineer | London | Hybrid Are you a Data Engineer who wants more than just building and maintaining pipelines? I’m working with a high-growth, technology-led business that is investing heavily in data and building a brand-new data platform to transform how data is collected, managed and used across the organisation. They’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping that platform from the ground up. 🏗️ What you’ll be doing This is a genuinely hands-on role, but with plenty of opportunity to influence the bigger picture. You’ll be: 🔹 Designing and building data pipelines across multiple layers of a new data platform 🔹 Working closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and turn them into technical solutions 🔹 Helping shape the infrastructure supporting the platform 🔹 Establishing engineering standards, patterns and best practices 🔹 Working across data cleansing, migration, modelling and transformation 🔹 Supporting governance and providing technical guidance around data 🔹 Identifying new opportunities to improve how data is used across the business 🔹 Helping define the future direction of the organisation’s data capabilities 🧠 What they’re looking for Ideally, you’ll have: ✅ 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering ✅ Strong Python and SQL skills ✅ Experience with Spark ✅ Strong experience with data modelling, migration, cleansing and transformation ✅ Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP ✅ Experience building data pipelines and working with modern data platforms ✅ Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders ✅ A mindset focused on improving how data is used, rather than simply maintaining the status quo 🌟 Why consider it?
