Cloud Engineer

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a public-sector technology organization, is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer. This role is responsible for building and supporting AWS infrastructure, automating cloud environments through infrastructure as code, and managing cloud networking and connectivity. The engineer will also support observability, troubleshooting, and security across hybrid cloud environments. Job Duties: Build, configure, manage, and support infrastructure within AWSDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code for cloud resource provisioning and managementAutomate infrastructure deployments, configuration, and ongoing cloud operationsManage AWS networking, DNS, routing, route tables, certificates, and hybrid network connectivityTroubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, connectivity, automation, and performance issuesImplement and maintain cloud monitoring and observability solutionsDevelop scripts and automation for infrastructure and operational tasksConfigure IAM, security groups, and other AWS cloud security controls Required 5+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, network, systems engineering, or a related technical disciplineHands-on AWS cloud infrastructure engineering and operations experienceInfrastructure as code experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or comparable technologyHands-on Terraform experienceStrong networking expertise with DNS, routing, network connectivity, route tables, and cloud networking conceptsExperience supporting connectivity between on-premises/local network environments and AWSScripting and automation experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or comparable scripting languagesExperience with cloud monitoring and observability technologiesWorking knowledge of AWS IAM, security groups, and cloud security fundamentalsDesired Bash and/or Python scripting experienceAWS CloudWatch and Grafana experienceExperience supporting AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, and RDSExperience with hybrid infrastructure environments connecting on-premises systems to AWSExperience with containers and container orchestration technologiesKnowledge of serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and content delivery networksExperience evaluating appropriate cloud architecture patterns across serverless, containerized, and traditional infrastructure
