The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.
About The Role & Team
As Senior Implementation Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end technical implementation of integrated airport and airline solutions across applications, networks, servers, infrastructure, security, and cloud environments.
Your primary accountability is hands-on implementation, supported by functional airport knowledge, customer coordination, project-delivery awareness, and post-go-live support through transition.
You will work closely with Delivery, Product, Support, project teams, and customers to ensure solutions meet agreed technical, operational, and business requirements.
You will act as the on-site technical and functional focal point when required, helping customers adopt the solution successfully and ensuring issues, risks, and dependencies are managed and escalated appropriately.
Career Framework note: The external posting title is Senior Implementation Engineer.
The title upon hiring will be Senior Infrastructure Engineer, in line with SITA Career Framework.
What You Will Do
Implement, configure, integrate, test, and support end-to-end airport and airline technology solutions across applications, networks, servers, infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud environments.
Translate business, operational, and technical requirements into practical implementation plans and ensure integration with interacting systems, applications, and services.
Apply strong airport-domain knowledge to understand operational workflows, advise customers on effective product use, and recommend improvements that support operational efficiency.
Own technical implementation activities across the project lifecycle, including requirements clarification, installation, configuration, testing, go-live readiness, deployment, and transition to support.
Coordinate customer go-live and provide post-implementation support until transition is complete, resolving defects, omissions, and operational issues identified after deployment.
Act as the on-site technical and functional focal point for customers and represent the project-delivery team when a dedicated project manager is not present on site.
Collaborate with Delivery, Product, Support, project managers, and customer stakeholders to track actions, dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating material impacts to project deliverables.
Monitor solution performance and customer usage after implementation, identify technical or operational improvement opportunities, and connect relevant needs with the appropriate SITA teams.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, implementation records, configurations, and handover materials in line with SITA standards, policies, and processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, improving implementation methods, and sharing technical and functional knowledge with colleagues and customers.
