Junior Security EDR Engineer

(Junior) Security Engineer (m/f/d) In this role you will become a member of the Security Technology Section and will be responsible for managing and enhancing cutting-edge security solutions deployed across our data center. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our security infrastructure. Additionally, you will contribute to our ongoing efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification, reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards of information security. Key Responsibilities: Administration, configuration and maintenance of enterprise security solutions and SOC toolsDeployment, operation and continuous optimization of EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solutionsMonitoring, analysis and investigation of security alerts, events and anomaliesIdentification, assessment and escalation of potential security incidents and threatsConducting regular vulnerability assessments of Hyundai, Kia and affiliated digital propertiesPrioritization of security risks and support of remediation activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholdersAnalysis of security event patterns to improve threat detection and overall security posturePatching, updating and upgrading security systems within the data center environmentManagement and timely resolution of security-related tickets and incidentsPreparation of vulnerability assessment reports and security recommendations for IT teams and project managersCollaboration with internal and external teams to ensure secure, resilient and compliant systemsContinuous monitoring and optimization of security controls to maintain effective threat protection Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field1-3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, application security, or a similar roleSecurity-driven mindset with the ability to think from both an attacker’s and defender’s perspectiveStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, vulnerability management, and risk mitigationProficiency in web technologies and scripting languages, including HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Python, and PowerShellStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detailAbility to investigate complex security issues and provide effective remediation recommendationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional environmentsFluent in English, both written and spoken, additional European language would be a plus Offer & Benefits: Flexible working timeWork in an international team and versatile environmentVaried tasks with exciting and challenging IT projectsFunction-specific, personal, and technology trainingAttractive salary and excellent compensation and benefits package, including free lunch (as lunch vouchers or in the canteen), a free monthly ticket for public transportation and Gympass to support your wellbeing.Relocation support About us Hyundai AutoEver Europe GmbH (HAEE) is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Hyundai & KIA Motor Group with its Headquarters in Seoul (South Korea).
