We're recruiting on behalf of an established engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist electro-mechanical products for industrial applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks expertise to join a collaborative engineering team and contribute to the development of innovative products from concept through to manufacture. The Role You'll be responsible for producing high-quality 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assemblies and Bills of Materials (BOMs), working closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Sales teams to deliver robust, cost-effective design solutions. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorksDevelop assemblies, sub-assemblies and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Design sheet metal and electro-mechanical products for manufactureSupport product testing, validation and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain engineering documentation, drawing registers and version controlWork with suppliers and internal teams to support product and cost improvementsEnsure designs comply with relevant quality and industry standards About You Essential: Minimum 5 years' industrial design experienceStrong SolidWorks experience (essential)Experience producing 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawingsKnowledge of sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assembliesExperience creating and managing BOMs Desirable: AutoCAD, EPLAN or ERP system experienceElectro-mechanical product design experienceKnowledge of EMC requirements and AC/DC systemsExperience within switchgear, control panels, power distribution or related industries To apply, please submit a copy of your up-to-date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience.
