Job Description Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is looking to hire Senior/Principal Instrumentation & Automation Engineer - Mining (KZ Passport holders) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our Operations business, based in Atyrau, Almaty, Astana, East and Central Kazakhstan Responsibilities Responsible for design, specification and services related to control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, and valves, мay also be responsible for advanced controls optimization etc.Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizationsProvides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and adviceRequires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related disciplinesContributes to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work, providing discipline expertise to the business, supporting and supervising task delegation to teamUses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problemsCompletes almost any engineering tasks with minimal guidance and direction Qualifications Engineering degree in related fieldProficient user of relevant software and calculation templatesWork experience in the respective position no less than 10 yearsExperience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documentsExperience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction) About Us Wood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors.
