What you will do: The Development Engineer will work with software, firmware, validation, hardware, project, and business teams to design, develop, maintain, and improve AI-enabled automation solutions. The role focuses on using Copilot Studio, Azure services, Power BI, APIs, and scripting to build internal or standalone tools, automate engineering workflows, connect data across enterprise platforms, and deliver dashboards, reporting, knowledge search, and decision-support capabilities. This position provides hands-on technical implementation while ensuring solutions are reliable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with engineering and business priorities. Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled automation solutions, agents, and internal or standalone applications using Copilot Studio, Azure services, approved AI models, and related technologies. Build Power BI dashboards, automated reports, and data models that provide visibility into engineering activities, project status, validation, resource utilization, and operational performance. Develop scripts, services, and integrations using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, YAML, and related technologies. Connect and automate data and workflows across tools such as Jira, BigPicture, Polarion, SharePoint, Confluence, GitHub, and other approved engineering or enterprise platforms. Develop solutions for engineering knowledge search, document processing, requirements analysis, project reporting, traceability, validation tracking, and decision support. Gather technical requirements, validate solutions with users, troubleshoot data and integration issues, apply appropriate access and security controls, and maintain concise technical documentation. AI-enabled automation, intelligent agents, and internal or standalone tools developed with Copilot Studio, Azure, approved AI services, and custom code. Power BI dashboards, data models, automated reporting, and data-quality improvements for engineering and business processes. API-based integrations and workflow automation across Jira, BigPicture, Polarion, SharePoint, Confluence, GitHub, databases, and other approved systems. Technical implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of secure and maintainable automation solutions. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Hands-on experience developing automation solutions, internal applications, data integrations, dashboards, or AI-assisted tools in an engineering or enterprise environment. Strong scripting or programming skills with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, SQL, JSON, YAML, or comparable technologies, including experience building maintainable automation components. Experience with Power BI data preparation, data modelling, measures, dashboards, reporting, and integration with enterprise data sources. Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, credentials, access controls, and integrations between systems such as Jira, BigPicture, Polarion, SharePoint, Confluence, or GitHub. Ability to diagnose data, integration, permissions, deployment, and automation failures using logs, structured testing, and root-cause analysis. Clear technical communication and documentation skills, with the ability to gather requirements, work across technical and non-technical teams, and support adoption of new tools and workflows.
