Visa sponsorship is not available for this role * Essential Duties And Responsibilities Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of high-performance, high-quality communication applications on Android mobile devices.Write high quality and maintainable code.Develop GUI and other aspects of the application according to the standards of the platform.Create innovative solutions that increase application performance, usability, and fit for our target customersImplement standards-based communication protocols and related technologies including JSON, XML, HTTP, and RESTRecommend new technologies or direction for product development.Provide aggressive, attainable goals and time frames for the team.Drive standards based architectures and supporting services.Use of agile and rapid application development processes to speed engineering effortsFollow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high-quality products including writing automated unit, component, and feature level testing.Contribute to the overall enterprise architecture and the development of product features.Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required 6+ years of experience developing mobile applications in Android Studio with Java/Kotlin.Experience with Android NDKMust possess good communication skills and be eager to work in a team environment with other dedicated engineersStrong knowledge of C and C++Must be able to effectively communicate using written English, and spoken EnglishMust be able to effectively participate in and lead technical discussions with team members and other teams Experience/Education/Certifications BS degree in CS, EE, or equivalentExperience developing high-quality, multi-threaded applications Bonus Experience Experience with video encoding/decoding including H.264 and HEVCExperience with video, voice, or text communication applicationsExperience with native iOS mobile dev including Obj C/Swift/SwiftUIExperience with calling protocols including SIP and WebRTCExperience with Git and GitHub and CI/CD and the Google Play Store Other General Requirements/Additional Notes Regular and predictable attendance required.Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills and able to work across company departments.
