We’re looking for a Senior System Engineer who wants to take ownership of that foundation and evolve it further.

Your responsibilities
Lead technical roadmap of system engineering teamEvolve and optimise our on-prem platform to maximise performance, reliability and securityCollaborate with development how ‘our’ service and amplify their workDefine, document and enforce clear technical standards, playbooks and proceduresOversee local network and development environments for smooth engineering workflowsProactively detect and resolve system bottlenecks before they become problemsAutomate repetitive tasks to increase speed and consistency

As Senior System Administrator you will be part of the engineering team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering of BaseNet.

What you bring
10+ years of experience managing and operating production infrastructureStrong knowledge of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Kubernetes and DockerExperience managing MySQL database clustersSolid understanding of networking, distributed storage and securityThe ability to explain complex systems in simple termsA proactive mindset: you don’t wait for problems to appear; you prevent themStrong sense of ownership and pride in building and maintaining robust systemsExperience in a SaaS or B2B environment is a strong plusCloud and AI experience is a plus, but the core currently is physical and local
