Software Technical Lead

Typical Activities Working in collaboration with customers, Software Engineering, Solutions & Architecture, Product and Programme teams, the Software Technical Lead will provide hands-on technical leadership for the design and delivery of complex software solutions across secure, cloud-enabled and cross-domain environments. You Will Provide hands-on technical leadership across software delivery projects, owning technical direction and architectureLead the design and delivery of secure cloud-native, distributed and microservice-based software solutionsSupport the development of cross-domain and multi-security-domain architectures, ensuring solutions meet customer assurance and information exchange requirementsAct as the technical authority and escalation point for complex engineering challengesLead technical design and code reviews, ensuring solutions meet security, performance, scalability, maintainability and quality requirementsWork closely with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical direction and build trusted relationshipsCollaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers and Engineering teams to support successful project deliverySupport bids, technical proposals, project planning, estimation and the identification of technical risks and dependenciesDefine and promote software engineering standards, quality practices, testing approaches and automationEvaluate emerging technologies and contribute to new technical capabilities, engineering roadmaps and future customer offerings What We're Looking For Proven experience providing technical leadership within software engineering teams delivering complex solutionsStrong experience designing and delivering secure, scalable and maintainable software architecturesExperience designing, delivering or operating solutions using Azure, AWS or other cloud platformsExperience with cloud-native applications, distributed systems and microservice architecturesStrong understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience delivering software within secure, accredited or assured environmentsStrong understanding of secure software development and security-by-design principlesExperience acting as a technical authority on customer-facing software projects and making architectural decisionsAbility to translate customer and business requirements into software architectures, technical requirements and delivery plansStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers, engineers and senior stakeholders Desirable Knowledge or experience of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and assured data transfer between different security domainsExperience integrating systems across multiple security classifications, deployment environments or organisational boundariesExperience providing technical leadership across multiple concurrent software projectsExperience defining testing strategies and acceptance criteria within complex software environmentsExperience supporting technical bids, proposals and the development of new technology or solution offerings Why Work at PentenAmio?
