Fixed-term Full-time position Flexible working arrangements City of Newcastle is fortunate to be able to offer an opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Maintenance team. This Graduate position provides recent graduates with the opportunity to develop professional skills and experience across City of Newcastle while contributing to meaningful projects and operational activities. Kickstart your civil engineering career with hands-on experience across asset management, project planning and project delivery. As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be supported to build your technical capability while contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects and programmed maintenance activities that make a real difference across Newcastle. Working within the City Infrastructure directorate, you will learn from experienced professionals as you help investigate and inspect infrastructure matters, provide engineering advice, assess options and recommend practical solutions. You will also gain exposure to the full lifecycle of infrastructure delivery, from early planning and business cases through to project briefs, scoping, quality and contract documentation, completed works reviews and the coordination of internal and external resources across roads, drainage and structures.
