Role description
The Team Lead - DSR proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates privacy risks across the organization.
This role supports and develops their team to drive operational excellence, innovation, and adaptability in a constantly evolving regulatory landscape, while elevating the business's overall privacy maturity to the next level.
The Team Lead works closely with other LPA Services teams, as well as business partners across the organization, to build and maintain customer trust through the delivery of ongoing privacy initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
People management, performance management & capacity management: Line manages, hires, develops, and retains privacy talent, setting operational goals, capacity plans, workload forecasting, and providing coaching and feedback.
Tactical & operational planning and execution: Sets and executes operational plans with clear objectives that drive results and impact across the business and its brands.
Team leadership & risk management: Guides and supports the team on initiatives that strengthen risk management..
Stakeholder communication & influence: Aligns with internal and external stakeholders on requirements and progress, influencing agreement on privacy practices and operational matters.
Continuous improvement, automation & AI integration: Drives improved working methods, automation, and AI adoption to boost efficiency and accuracy of results.
Change management & privacy culture: Leads the team through change with a motivating approach, while promoting privacy awareness and a positive customer experience.
Audit & regulatory coordination: Coordinates the team's response to audits and information requests from internal or external auditors and regulators.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Required
At least 3 years of team management experience, with the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environments.
Capacity to understand complex tasks and the technicalities of tools such as Jira, OneTrust, and ServiceNow.
Exposure to and experience with process automation and AI tools leveraged for the purposes of process improvement/ simplification/ integration
Practical experience with continuous improvement experience (e.g.
Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen) and project management experience.
Capacity planning, FTE sizing, and reporting experience.
Strong, assertive communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong decision-making ability and self-discipline.
Experience managing scope migrations, including change management.
Nice to have
Privacy domain experience.
CIPP/E (IAPP) or CIPT certification.
