Senior Project Manager & Process Engineer – Hydrogen / Electrolysis / Gas Purification Location: Greater Frankfurt | Permanent | Clean Technology / Process Engineering We’re working with a fast-growing, owner-managed clean-tech company specialising in process engineering plants and systems for the purification and recycling of industrial and technical gases, including hydrogen, helium and argon. With a strong focus on green hydrogen, circular economy, carbon capture and industrial gas technologies, the business is growing internationally and is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Process Engineer to take ownership of technically demanding projects from initial proposal through to commissioning. This is a hands-on role with significant technical ownership, working closely with engineering, process, purchasing and logistics teams as well as customers and external suppliers. Your responsibilities Take end-to-end responsibility for complex customer projects, from proposal preparation through to implementation and commissioningLead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across design, process engineering, purchasing and logisticsManage external suppliers and project partnersEnsure projects are delivered against quality, schedule and cost targetsPrepare technical proposals and participate in technical customer presentationsDesign and plan process engineering plants for the purification and recycling of technical gases, including hydrogen, helium and argonCarry out engineering calculations, process evaluations and technical assessmentsProvide operational and technological support throughout project executionPrepare detailed process reports and technical documentationContinuously improve and optimise existing processes, technologies and engineering approachesWork closely with senior management and the technical leadership team on strategically important projects What you bring 5+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally combining process engineering with project management/project leadershipExperience developing and analysing process engineering solutionsBackground managing or leading projects involving process plants or complex technical systemsExperience within technical gases, hydrogen, electrolysis, special plant engineering, energy technology or a related sectorStrong understanding of fluid processing technologiesKnowledge of relevant engineering standards and regulations is advantageousA structured, independent and commercially minded approach to your workComfortable working across different technical disciplines and taking ownership of projectsWillingness to travel when required by projectsFull driving licence (Class B) What’s on offer A key position within a growing international clean-tech companySignificant technical and project ownership, with plenty of room for creative input and decision-makingThe opportunity to work on projects across hydrogen, industrial gas purification, circular economy and carbon captureDirect collaboration with senior management and the Technical DirectorLong-term career and development opportunities within a growing businessA young, diverse and international team of highly skilled engineersPermanent employment contract with flexible working hoursCorporate fitness, company pension schemeAn environment where technical ideas, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking are encouraged
