Senior Network Engineer This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph. A senior network engineer designs, implements, and maintains an organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities include network design, security implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, capacity planning, and mentorship of junior engineers. Compensation & Benefits Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Network Engineer: $153K Pay commensurate with experience. Senior Network Engineer Responsibilities Include TCP/IP transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologies Performing upgrades and performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).Identifying and implementing INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.Complex configuration management techniques and requirements for managing network systems.Network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN and VoIP.Cisco IOS, including switching, routing, segment routing and other technologies.Radio Frequency (RF) and spectrum engineering.Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Senior Network Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's is required (or Master’s Degrees are preferred) TCP/IP transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologiesPerforming upgrades and performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).Identifying and implementing INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.Complex configuration management techniques and requirements for managing network systemsNetwork operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN and VoIPCisco IOS, including switching, routing, segment routing and other technologiesBroad understanding of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the networking field.Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design conceptsVirtualization experience (VDI & VMWare)Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, etc.)Security best practices and implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures including VPN technologiesContinuous integration, test automation and / or SecDevOps on iterative development projectsAgile Development methodologiesCisco Certifications: CCNA or CCNPMust pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
