Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Platform DevOps and Cloud Platform Engineer.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining data and cloud platform infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities include automating deployment pipelines, managing CI/CD processes, monitoring and optimizing data workflows, and maintaining secure access controls.
The engineer will collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and software developers to support data integration, transformation, and analytics across cloud environments.
Day-to-day tasks also include troubleshooting platform issues, improving observability, implementing best practices in cloud governance, and documenting infrastructure and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Strong data analysis capabilities, including Data Analysis and Data Analytics skills.Proficiency in Data Management, with experience managing data lifecycles, quality, and governance.Ability to design and implement robust Data Modeling solutions to support scalable data platforms.Advanced Analytical Skills to diagnose complex system issues and optimize data workflows.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT processes and streaming/batch data pipelines.Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for cloud and data platforms.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.#Canada
