We're partnering with a well-funded, stealth-mode startup at the intersection of AI and robotics, backed by an experienced founding team.
As the company enters its next phase of growth, they're looking for a Software Team Lead who will work closely with the founders, and have a genuine impact on architecture, product direction, team growth, and engineering culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend the majority of your time building software, solving complex technical challenges, and making key architectural decisions.

Technical Leadership
Own and evolve the architecture of a cutting-edge AI and robotics platformDrive technical strategy and key engineering decisionsBuild scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systemsChampion engineering best practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoringPartner closely with the CTO and founders on long-term technical directionHands-On Engineering
Develop backend services using Python & FastAPIDesign and optimise PostgreSQL databases and data modelsBuild cloud-native systems with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCPOwn CI/CD and deployment processes within GitLabEnsure high availability, scalability, and operational excellenceTeam Building & Mentoring

Your Background
✅ Proven experience building and shipping production software
✅ End-to-end architecture ownership
✅ Experience in startup or high-growth environments
✅ A Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background
✅ Strong technical depth combined with a desire to remain hands-on
✅ A collaborative mindset and natural leadership qualities
✅ Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
